In recent years, the integration of distributed generation in power systems has been accompanied by new facility operations strategies. Thus, it become increasingly important to enhance management capabilities regarding aggregation electricity production and demand through different types virtual plants (VPPs). It is also exploit their ability participate markets maximize operating profits. This review article focuses on classification in-depth analysis studies that propose VPP models including interactions with energy markets. formulated according most aspects be considered for these VPPs. These include formulation model, techniques solving mathematical problems, participation markets, applicability proposed real case studies.
